On January 23, 2012, Obey entered a guilty plea to two (2) counts of Attempted First Degree Murder. On March 21, 2012, Judge Clayton Davis sentenced Obey to fifty (50) years in the Louisiana Department of Corrections on each count. Judge Davis ordered Obey’s sentences to run concurrently, without the benefit of probation, parole, or suspension of sentence. Assistant District Attorney Jonathan Blake prosecuted the case.
