On January 8, 2013, Carl Webb Jr. entered a guilty plea to manslaughter in the February 2009 murder of Helen Webb. Judge Clayton Davis sentenced Webb to twelve (12) years in the Louisiana Department of Corrections, concurrent with his current term of sixty-five (65) years in prison on weapon charges. Assistant District Attorney John Blake prosecuted the case.
