On April 1, 2013, Darlene Idell Sias entered a guilty plea to an amended charge of manslaughter. Sias was charged with second degree murder in the December 2011 death of her husband, Joseph John Sias.
Assistant District Attorney Rick Bryant prosecuted the case and accepted the plea with the consent of the victim’s family. Sias’s sentencing is set for April 17, 2013. She faces up to 40 years in prison.
