Leday Sentenced for Manslaughter

Today, July 11th, Judge Kendrick Guidry sentenced Joseph J. Leday, 36, Beaumont, TX., to 30 years in prison on a Manslaughter charge. This sentence is to be served consecutively to any other time he is currently serving.

In 2016, Leday got into an altercation with a friend and brutally stabbed him to death. In 2024, Leday was found guilty by Judge of Manslaughter.

Assistant District Attorneys Taylor Alexander and Kadence Huber prosecuted this case for the Calcasieu Parish District Attorney’s Office.
